Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

When I was growing up, there were those times when we dreamed of buried treasure. We had hopes of finding some sort of map that would show us where to find something very precious. Needless to say, we never found any buried treasure.

But my relationship with God is something else! Even after four years of theological education, and many years of service as a Pastor, I still continue to find buried treasure. It isn’t under a tree or three paces from the big stone. It is in God’s Word, the Holy Bible. Each time I read and study God’s Word, I continue to be blessed. When I am down, there are words of encouragement. When my faith is challenged, I read of those who were strong in their faith. The Scriptures continue to make me “wise unto salvation” each time I read them.

This booklet can serve as your guide to buried treasure. The Bible classes and small groups at Trinity are a great place for growing in your faith relationship with Jesus Christ. Through involvement in God’s Word, you will find great hope and encouragement that prepares us for and leads us to eternal joy in Jesus. I continue to find great joy in my reading and studying. I can honestly say that I would even read my Bible if I wasn’t a Pastor! It is God’s precious gift to each of us.

I strongly encourage you to make Bible study and small group participation a part of your life. It will be some of the best time you spend. It will lead you to a great treasure, Jesus Christ our Lord!
